How Influential is Elon Musk?

Elon Musk is known all over the world, for various reasons. Some know him for going on Joe Rogan’s podcast and smoking marijuana with him, others know him from Tesla or Space X (both companies were never meant to succeed according to the vast majority). Most recently Elon tweeted about DogeCoin, for those unfamiliar DogeCoin is a virtual currency like BitCoin or LITEcoin, except Dogecoin, is a Shiba Inu meme-inspired cryptocurrency that was started as a joke in 2013. As we all know a few years ago BitCoin exploded and everyone wanted to become a trader, some made thousands, some then ended up losing thousands, eventually, the boom settled but over time the virtual currency has continued to grow, BitCoin is on the rise again and then out of nowhere DogeCoin skyrocketed, why? ELON.MUSK.

On the 10th of February, Elon Tweeted “Bought some dogecoin for Lil X, so he can be a Toddler Hodler”.
“Lil X” is Elon’s child, full name X Æ A-Xii

This sparked a 16% increase in Dogecoin, spiking from $0.069 to $0.08 since the influential tweet the coin is currently up more than 800% year-to-date.

Elon Musk has also recently tweeted out “I kinda love Etsy” which received 23.5k retweets and an impressive 330.3k likes

Why did Elon say he loved Etsy?
“Bought a hand-knit wool Marvin the Martian helm for my dog”

What does this mean for Etsy? Well, Etsy’s stock surged by as much as 8% but by early afternoon, the price was lower on the day closing down 2.1%. I think this goes to show that a simple Tweet from the man who has been called the most influential man in tech for several years can really help your business.

Some people love him, others hate him but there is no denying he achieved some remarkable things in his lifetime and I am sure he will inspire hundreds more to do the same and hopefully make this world (or Mars) a better place to live.
